Should You Reroll in NTE?

Rerolling in Neverness to Everness is optional but can give you a significant head-start. NTE is generous with Annulith (the premium pull currency) during the early game, providing enough pulls to potentially secure one or two S-Rank characters before your account is even fully set up. Whether rerolling is worth your time depends on how much you value having a specific character from day one.

How to Reroll in NTE

  1. Complete the tutorial and reach the point where pulls become available.
  2. Use all available free Annulith and beginner pull tickets on your target banner.
  3. If you didn't get the character you wanted, uninstall and reinstall the game, or create a new guest account.
  4. Repeat until you land your target character.

Tip: link your account to a social login only after securing your desired pull result. This prevents accidentally saving an unwanted account.

Best S-Rank Characters to Reroll For

Skia (Chaos) — Top Reroll Priority

SkiaS
LakshanaSkia

Skia is the consensus top pick for rerollers. As the strongest Main DPS in the current meta, she carries teams through virtually all content types. Her Chaos-element kit is effective from the very first stages, and she doesn't require heavy Console investment to be dominant — even at A0 with a non-Signature Arc she outperforms most alternatives. If you can only commit to one reroll target, make it Skia.

Nanally (Cosmos) — Universal Buffer Pick

Nanally is arguably the safest reroll pick in NTE. As a universal buffer and Sub DPS, she slots into every team composition and amplifies any Main DPS you pair her with. Unlike most support characters in other gacha games, Nanally contributes meaningful personal damage alongside her buffs, so she never feels like a wasted slot. She's particularly powerful if you plan to build a Chaos or Incantation Main DPS, as her Cosmos debuffs apply a cross-element weakness bonus.

Lacrimosa (Incantation) — Comfort Pick for Survivability

LacrimosaS

Lacrimosa is the best choice for players who prefer a more relaxed playstyle. As NTE's top healer, she removes the survivability challenge entirely, letting you focus on rotations and skill timing rather than watching health bars. She's also the best pick for solo exploration, as her self-sustain allows aggressive play without any other support in the party. Note that Lacrimosa is slightly less impactful in top-tier speed-clear content where a second DPS would provide more value, but for casual and semi-serious play she remains an excellent foundation.

Baicang (Incantation) — Strong Alternative DPS

BaicangS

If Skia isn't available on the current banner rotation, Baicang is an excellent alternative Main DPS. His Incantation-element kit focuses on sustained damage over burst, making him very consistent in exploration and longer Protocol challenges. He pairs exceptionally well with Lacrimosa due to shared Incantation element synergy, allowing the pair to trigger powerful resonance interactions.

Characters to Avoid Rerolling For

Not every S-Rank is worth delaying your account start for. Characters who require heavy Console investment (A4 or A6) to reach their potential are generally poor reroll targets — you'd be getting a weaker version that will only become powerful after significant additional spending.

A-Rank characters are never worth rerolling for. Several A-Rank units — particularly Adler and Fadia — are extremely strong and are available in the permanent standard banner. You will naturally accumulate enough pulls to get them as your account matures.

Managing Annulith as a New Player

After securing your starting S-Rank through rerolling, your Annulith management becomes crucial. Follow these principles:

  • Save for limited banners — The most powerful characters almost always appear on limited-time banners first. Spending on the permanent standard pool is rarely efficient.
  • Track the pity system — NTE uses a soft pity and hard pity system. Your pull count carries over between banners, so knowing your current pity progress helps you plan spending.
  • Prioritise your main carry — If you're already using Skia or Nanally, their Signature Arc banners are often the next best investment after their Consoles.
  • Don't chase every new banner — New characters will always be marketed as powerful. Evaluate each new release against your existing team before spending.

Free-to-Play Considerations

NTE provides Annulith through story missions, daily login rewards, limited-time events, and Protocol weekly clears. A consistent free-to-play player can accumulate roughly 80–120 Annulith per month, which is approximately one guaranteed S-Rank pull per banner cycle. This makes it feasible to build a strong roster over time without spending — but requires disciplined saving and strategic banner prioritisation.

Quick Reroll Checklist

  • Decide on your target: Skia (DPS), Nanally (Universal Support), or Lacrimosa (Healer)
  • Complete tutorial and exhaust free pulls
  • If unsuccessful, reset and repeat
  • Link your account only after a successful pull
  • Start upgrading your S-Rank immediately — don't wait for their Signature Arc

Good luck with your reroll! Remember: the best starting character is the one that makes the game enjoyable for you. All top-tier S-Rank picks will carry you through NTE's early and mid-game content without issue.
