Who Is Aurelia in NTE?
Aurelia is a Psyche-element S-Rank character in Neverness to Everness and a resident of the Tamamochi Street Resident Association. She is a highly mobile Main DPS who commands a fleet of jellyfish to deal sustained Psyche DMG in a unique way: she can deal damage while moving at high speed in the Staccato riding state, making her one of the most dynamic damage dealers in version 1.0. Her tag combination of Burst DPS and DMG Boost reflects her ability to ramp damage quickly and then detonate with her Cadenza state active.
Aurelia's core identity revolves around her Cadenza state, which boosts jellyfish blast damage by 70% and causes them to hit nearby enemies with AoE. Entering and maintaining Cadenza is the central goal of every rotation. Her Awakening nodes further extend the state's uptime and open stacking ATK bonuses through the Crescendo passive.
Aurelia Skills Overview
Aurelia — Psyche S-Rank Main DPS
Aurelia's kit is built around maximising time in the Cadenza state and keeping her jellyfish blasting continuously. Her Skill Priority is: Support Skill (Cadenza Aria) > Ultimate (Canon Chorus) > Basic Attack (Cappella) > QTE (Dissonance).
- Cappella (Basic Attack) — Up to 4 consecutive Psyche hits in Legato mode. In Staccato mode, hold Dodge while moving to ride a jellyfish and generate blasts at intervals. Critical Riposte: Syncopation triggers after a Critical Dodge and launches four jellyfish blasts at once.
- Cadenza Aria (Support Skill) — Highest priority. Deals 1 instance of AoE Psyche DMG and enters the Cadenza state for 12 seconds. All jellyfish blasts deal 70% bonus DMG and hit the target's surrounding area. Cast this as your primary rotation opener after team buffs are applied.
- Canon Chorus (Ultimate) — Gathers nearby jellyfish and deals 6 instances of AoE Psyche DMG while pulling enemies together. This is both a damage burst and a positioning tool that clumps mobile enemies for easier follow-up hits.
- Dissonance (QTE) — Commands the jellyfish for 1 instance of AoE Psyche DMG. Lower priority but useful as a fast on-field swap-in action.
Best Arcs for Aurelia
Stellar Veil — Best Overall Arc
Aurelia's strongest Arc provides an unconditional Psyche DMG boost plus a stacking Crit DMG buff whenever she deals Psyche DMG to enemies. Since Aurelia attacks almost constantly with jellyfish blasts, the stacking Crit DMG compound quickly and the flat Psyche DMG bonus benefits every single hit in her rotation. This Arc has zero conditional requirements — it simply amplifies everything Aurelia does. If you can only invest in one S-Rank Arc for Aurelia, Stellar Veil is the clear priority.
Fluff of Fortitude — Strong Alternative Arc
A solid S-Rank alternative that provides an unconditional DMG buff amplified further against low-health enemies. This Arc is particularly strong in burst windows when enemies are approaching break or when Aurelia is finishing off high-priority targets. The DMG amplification ramps when targets drop below a health threshold, rewarding aggressive play. A good choice if Stellar Veil is not yet available or if you are specifically targeting endgame content where enemies are at low HP frequently.
Oraora! — Best A-Rank Arc
Aurelia's best free-to-play Arc option. It increases Basic ATK DMG as long as Aurelia continues using her Basic Attack — and in Staccato mode, the jellyfish blasts count toward this requirement. Consistent and reliable, Oraora! is the recommended investment for players still building their Arc collection. Do not sleep on this Arc in early game: it contributes meaningfully to Aurelia's overall DPS output until you secure Stellar Veil.
Best Cartridge for Aurelia
Devil's Blood: Curse is Aurelia's best Cartridge. It buffs her overall DMG and specifically her Psyche DMG. The bonus DMG effect increases whenever Aurelia attacks enemies affected by Nova or Stain — both of which can be applied in her recommended Discord team composition. The 4-piece effect of Devil's Blood: Curse activates naturally in her standard build and brings notable damage gains. Shadow Creed is the best alternative Cartridge, improving Aurelia's ATK baseline and granting additional ATK on each Skill cast, which stacks well with the Crescendo passive.
Rotation and Playstyle
Aurelia's rotation is mobile and aggressive. The general loop is:
- Use support characters to apply buffs and build the Esper Cycle Meter before swapping to Aurelia.
- Swap to Aurelia and immediately cast Cadenza Aria to enter Cadenza state.
- Ride jellyfish in Staccato mode — hold Dodge while moving to keep generating blasts throughout the Cadenza window.
- Land a Critical Dodge to trigger Syncopation (four jellyfish blasts at once) and also extend Cadenza state via the A2 Awakening node.
- Cast Canon Chorus (Ultimate) when enemies are grouped to land all 6 hits and trigger the Cadenza damage bonus on each.
- Continue Staccato riding through the Cadenza window, building Crescendo stacks for increasing ATK.
- Repeat from step 1 when Cadenza expires.
Key tip: Never swap off Aurelia mid-Cadenza unless forced. Cadenza's 70% jellyfish blast bonus is lost the moment the state expires, so maximise on-field time during the buff window. Use Canon Chorus to clump enemies before Cadenza for maximum jellyfish hits per second.
Best Team Compositions for Aurelia
Aurelia · Daffodill · Haniel · Adler — Discord Team (Premium)
Aurelia's strongest team in the current meta. Daffodill applies Chaos element alongside Aurelia's Psyche to trigger the Nova duo reaction (Chaos + Psyche) and can also inflict Nova alongside Aurelia for massive Mental Damage when the effect expires. Haniel amplifies Nova with her passive and increases team damage output through Hootie follow-ups. Adler contributes as an Incantation support, enabling the Scorch reaction (Incantation + Chaos) and ultimately setting up the Discord trio reaction (Chaos + Psyche + Incantation) which drains enemy Break. This team covers damage, survivability via Adler's shield, and two full reaction chains simultaneously.
Aurelia · Fadia · Haniel · Sakiri — F2P-Friendly Team
A more accessible option that replaces Daffodill and Adler with Fadia and Sakiri. Fadia provides damage mitigation through her shield and activates the Stain duo reaction (Psyche + Lakshana) if Fadia has Lakshana-element coverage. Haniel continues to amplify Nova passively. Sakiri as Incantation support drives Scorch and pushes team damage higher. This team is viable through all normal content and most weekly challenge rooms without requiring limited S-Rank units.
Should You Pull Aurelia?
Aurelia is a highly mobile S-Rank Main DPS with a strong ceiling in Discord team compositions. Her unique Staccato playstyle rewards players who master Critical Dodges and maintain on-field positioning, and her Cadenza state provides clear, rewarding damage windows. She is the best Psyche-element DPS available in version 1.0 and pairs well with both A-Rank and limited S-Rank supports.
